Cathy's Creations started out in 1992 by Cathy Bendzunas. Cathy has always been artistic. She often sold her cartoons and drawings to her classmates and won several art awards and competitions through out school.
She always knew she wanted a career in art and was accepted at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Unfortunately finances prevented her from pursuing that dream. She found herself working in accounting clerk jobs and doing arts and crafts for relaxation.
After marrying, cutting her job back to part time and having 3 children, she began having an "afternoon craft time" with a neighbor and a friend from church at her kitchen table while their children played at their feet.
One afternoon, Cathy's church friend announced that she had signed up for a local craft show and wanted to know if Cathy wanted to do it with her. She did and loved it and Cathy's Creations was born. One of the things she made for that first show was a little polymer clay Santa star pin. That was her first experience with polymer clay and a new love was born. Over the years, polymer clay items replaced the craft items made from other materials.
Today Cathy's Creations is a family run business. Cathy's 20 something daughters Shannon and April and her teen son Ryan help her with running the business and doing craft shows although Cathy herself does all the designing and actual crafting.
Cathy looks forward to many years running this small family business and gets great satisfaction from her happy customers.
